I agree with you. Why does our govt insist on bailing out the big companies? Here the taxpayers need help, yet, they're often turned down or "don't qualify" for a variety of reasons. It seems to me that the government's stand on the economic crisis, is to say to the big named companies, "Aw, it's okay. We'll help you out and let the taxpayers take care of the bill".
Did the govt or the "company bigwigs" ever realize that maybe, if taxpayers were given help when needed, there would less likely be a need to bail out the "Big Guys"? Aren't the companies losing money because the "little guy" is not able to pay the "Big Guy"?
Someone told me that President Jefferson was right when it came to Congress. I don't remember the quote so I hope I'm at least close in meaning. Something like Congress needs to be overhauled, or get a new face-lift every 25 years to keep Congress honest.
Sounds to me, we're LONG OVERDUE for a fresh face of Congress, don't you?
